Departure: 09:00 hrs

Return: 17:30 hrs

In the city of Mayapán, a walled city, it is considered the great Mayan capital according to indigenous and Spanish chronicles. Its name, apparently, means "The Flag of the Mayas". During its heyday, in the Postclassic, between AD 120 and 1450, the population was 12,000, according to archaeological estimates.

Mayapán was the headquarters of the Mayapán League, a confederation that brought together the chiefs of Uxmal and Chichén Itzá in the heyday of the Mayan civilization. Disputes for control of the confederation ended with the defeat of the Itza who ruled Chichén, and their flight to the Petén, where they founded the city of Tayasal. The hegemony of the league was exercised from that moment (end of the 13th century) by the Cocomes of Mayapán, although with strong opposition from the inhabitants of the other Mayan kingdoms of the peninsula.

The Nayah cenote located in the Pixyan farm, its open style with 9 meters of free fall makes it easy to enjoy a beautiful landscape and where we will enjoy its fresh waters, it is descended through a wooden staircase that facilitates the entrance to the cenote that ends on a platform from where you can access the water.
