Middle East

The term "Middle East" would have British origin, since it is a literal translation of the English "Middle East", originating in the 1850s probably related to British India- It is considered to be an E urocentric term since it defines a region by virtue of of its situation in relation to Europe: at a medium distance and in the direction of the East (between the near and the far East).
