It is located just 15 km to the north of the Yucatecan capital, Dzibilchaltún (from the Mayan written on flat stone), an important place since it was a pre-Hispanic city occupied in the post-classic period, due to its proximity to the coast, it was fundamental for the SAL trade. In this site, we will find one of the emblematic buildings of the Mayan culture.

The Temple of the Seven Dolls is also known as the Temple of the Sun, a square structure that was the focal point in the city. This second name may originate from the phenomenon that occurs twice a year, on the spring and autumn equinoxes, when the rising sun is visible through one window and rises out of another, a tribute to the incredible mathematical knowledge of the Mayans.

We will also find one of the most spectacular cenotes "X laka". Its beauty is that it is on the ground, this characteristic is due to its proximity to the coast and it was an open Church that the colonizers used for the evangelization of the Mayans.

The port of Progreso, as a high-altitude port is the main one in Yucatan, it is located to the north, 36 km. from Mérida, where we will have free time to enjoy the beach and if you wish, the gastronomy of the place.
